From Outback Steakhouse to True Love
My sweet couple first met back on August 19, 2012, while both working at an Outback Steakhouse in Bloomington, Indiana. A massive party for a soccer team walked in right before closing time. Jeff was a senior server and Lauren was brand new, so the two were paired up to finish out the shift together. After wrapping up the last table, Jeff invited Lauren over to hang out with some coworkers. In a sweet twist of fate, August 19th also happens to be Lauren's parents' wedding anniversary! Over twelve years together, the two have built a life filled with laughter, balancing each other out in the best possible ways.
A Marquee Proposal in New York
Jeff officially started his proposal plans in January 2024 by asking Lauren’s dad for his blessing while visiting Jacksonville. Fast forward to July during a family trip to East Aurora, New York, for her nephew’s birthday. Lauren thought she was simply walking down Main Street with her dad and sister to meet up for ice cream. As they turned the corner, Lauren was shocked to see the iconic Aurora Theatre marquee glowing with the words, "Lauren McKnight will you marry me?" Jeff stood waiting on a red carpet lined with rose petals, looking handsome in fancy clothes. After a romantic proposal filled with sweet words, cheers from onlookers, and honking car horns, Lauren happily said yes. For the rest of the vacation, the two celebrated by jokingly marking every everyday activity as their first time doing it while engaged!

The wedding day began with bridal prep at Deercreek Country Club before moving into emotional first looks. Lauren shared a tearful moment with her father before meeting Jeff for their private couple's first look and formal portraits. The heart of the day centered on family, with thoughtful memorial tables set up at the entrance and sweetheart table to honor loved ones present in spirit. Under clear Florida skies, Lauren and Jeff exchanged vows during a heartfelt ceremony. Following the "I dos," we jumped on golf carts to explore the 9th and 18th holes for stunning newlywed portraits along the green.

The celebration continued inside the clubhouse for an energetic reception. After formal entrances, sweet toasts, and dinner, the dance floor packed out for an amazing party with their favorite people.
