Erica and Christian celebrated their stunning wedding day at the Embassy Suites St. Augustine Beach Oceanfront Resort in St. Augustine, Florida. Featuring gorgeous navy and champagne touches, the celebration brought a sophisticated coastal elegance to Florida's Historic Coast. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean, their big day was the ultimate reflection of a couple deeply in love, surrounded by the family and friends who mean the most to them.

How They Met: A Modern Romance in Jacksonville

Their love story began the modern way, by swiping right on Hinge. Bonding over a mutual mention of sushi on Erica's profile, Christian asked where the best spot in Jacksonville was, leading to their first official date at Rainbow Sushi on September 23, 2022. Christian knew right away that Erica was different, connecting over their shared outlook on life, mutual goals, and the ease with which they got along.

The Proposal in Curaçao

Fast forward to a romantic getaway in Curaçao, Christian set an elaborate proposal plan into motion. Having secretly bought the ring and gained her parents' blessing months prior, he thoughtfully gifted Erica a white dress for Valentine’s Day and subtly ensured her nails were done beforehand. On the island, he convinced her they had scored complimentary pictures from the resort.

Things got a little bumpy when they arrived at the photographer's office and were assigned a different photographer who was entirely out of the loop. Realizing the photographer had no idea a proposal was coming, Christian had to completely improvise. When the photographer suggested heading down to the crowded beach by the pool, Christian quickly pivoted, asking if they could find somewhere more private. The photographer led them to the secluded edge of a golf course overlooking the water. During a pose where they turned their backs to the camera, Christian flashed the ring to the photographer to signal the moment. As Erica turned around, Christian dropped to one knee and asked, "Erica, will you marry me?" to which she happily replied, "Yes, I knew it!"

Though she saw the proposal coming, Christian still had a few tricks up his sleeve, surprising her with a private dinner in Curaçao followed by the ultimate homecoming surprise from her parents when they returned, paving the way for their unforgettable seaside wedding in St. Augustine.
