Valerie & Camilo

Valerie and Camilo tied the knot during their whimsical Rabbit Hollow wedding in Geneva, Florida.  The two met almost five years back while celebrating a mutual friend’s birthday party.  They didn’t realize it that night, but from then on they would talk to each other every day and one day be married.

During the last day of vacation sightseeing at the Parthenon in Nashville, Camilo told Valerie he had something to give her.  Wrapped up tightly in a beautiful handwritten note, laid the most exquisite pearl and gold engagement ring.  Valerie was completely over the moon and of course said yes!

The two envisioned an outdoor wedding that focused on the beauty of nature.  Floral arrangements were lovingly crafted by Valerie’s friend Tammie Markham.  Each arrangement, including Valerie’s quizzical bouquet, softly boasted tones of white, cream, blush, and greens found in nature.  Additionally Camilo’s boutonniere had the tiniest little succulent with beautiful floral design.

Valerie’s handmade gown was just as beautiful as the floral design.  A lace keyhole back fitted the vintage décor and matched perfectly with her mother Valerie Guevara’s navy blue lace dress.  As beautiful as her dress as, my favorite piece of her outfit was still her adorable nude ballet flats by Jessica Simpson.  Camilo looked dapper in his suit from H&M and white button down from the Gap.

They always say rain on your wedding day is a good omen or that your wedding is taking place in Florida.  After scattered showers had come and gone three times, we were ready to start the ceremony.  The two had an intimate ceremony with no bridal party.  During the ceremony, Camilo tried holding back tears as he read his vows to Valerie.  It was incredible to see and hear how deeply their connection and love for one another was through their words and eyes.

With ‘I do’s’ shared, we were off to capture family and newlywed portraits, while guests enjoyed Izze soda and delicious homemade food.  Market lighting draped the exterior of the vintage building beckoning guests to come out and enjoy some dancing.  Unfortunately with the rain, we had to move the party inside.  Guests sat along rustic, wood benches chatting away, taking selfies, and laughing together.

Our night ended with one last dance, which was also Valerie and Camilo’s first dance, outside on the brick walkway.  Camilo sweetly played a favorite song on his phone, while the two took in the moment of being together.  Wishing these two an incredible adventure through life together!
