Jamie & Matthew

Jamie and Matthew’s Winter Park Wedding Chapel and Winter Park Country Club wedding was the perfect way to begin the next chapter in their lives together. The two actually met online one day before Valentine’s Day back in 2014. Ever since that one fateful day they have been inseparable since. From walks around Winter Park with their pups to spending time at Disney, the two were a perfect match.
Several months after dating while on a trip to St. Augustine, Matthew popped the question asking for Jamie’s hand in marriage. He had taken her to a lighthouse in St. Augustine since he knew how important they were to her in her hometown of New Jersey. As the sun was setting the two walked up to the very top of the lighthouse where he asked Jamie to be his one and only for forever.
Jamie’s absolute love of her hunny Matthew and love of Disney shined through in every detail of their wedding. From her adorable garter featuring Cinderella’s carriage to her custom Sleeping Beauty princess wedding gown from Alfred Angelo, no detail was forgotten. She also surprised Matthew with an adorable little shoe adornment of “She’s Mine” at the bottom of his shoes and “I Do” at the bottom of hers.
Their wedding day started off at the Hampton Inn in Altamonte Springs. Jamie and her bridemaids began getting dolled up while Matthew and his groomsmen took a good luck shot. I enjoy the overwhelming sense of ‘what is to come’ during this time. Everyone has butterflies in their tummy! While Jamie’s mom Mary helped her get in her dress, her bridesmaids were patiently waiting outside (taking selfies hehe) to come in for their best friends dress reveal. It was an incredible moment to capture their first look of their sweet friend in the most important dress she will ever wear. Jamie was truly a princess inside and out. One of my kindest brides, I originally met Jamie through her sweet mom Mary who booked me for her wedding day – a special shout out to Mary for gifting my photography to Jamie!
With the girls looking stunning and the boys looking handsome as can be, we headed over to the Winter Park Wedding Chapel in Winter Park. One of the sweetest little spots to tie the knot, the chapel caters to intimate weddings and radiates with a feeling of love as soon as you step in the door. The chapel actually use to be a Methodist Church, which is dear to Jamie’s family as they are Methodist. Family and friends gathered as they watched Jamie walked down the aisle on the arm of her big brother. It was incredibly sweet and both Jamie’s mom and Matthew’s mom were in tears. After saying their “I do’s” and sharing a first kiss, we headed outside for their receiving line and formal portraits.
When the sun sets, it creates a whimsical sunny feel in the photos through the ray of lights beaming down. We decided to capture one group shot with this feel and after moved the family over to the share for more group portraits. Our wedding party portraits took place right after in the Winter Park Rose Garden. We had plotted out the location well before the wedding day and new it was the perfect whimsical Disney vibe! With help from Jamie’s incredible limo driver, we halted traffic so I could take my shots and after headed in further to the garden for some more shots of my newlyweds.
The reception at the Winter Park Country Club was incredible sweet. Each bridesmaid and groomsmen were announced in for dinner along with the bride and groom. From a Cinderella cake accessory to a Minnie and Mickey on the sweetheart table, Matthew made sure that a little part of Disney was in every room for Jamie. After dinner was enjoyed and meet and greets with guests at the table were finished, we headed over to the second room in the Winter Park County Club where the dancing began!
From Jamie’s first dance with her husband to tearful remembrance dance to her grandfather who passed away before having the chance to walk Jamie down the aisle, family and friends gathered to show their support, their love, and their courage for the incredible couple. You could feel her grandfather’s presence around the room as everyone shared in the love of such a special day.
Wishing these two their fairy tale ending in a spectacular, magical, and wonderful life together!
